• I created this site as a place to share my journey as a convert to Islam. Since I did not grow up Muslim, even learning the basics could feel overwhelming at times.

Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed me with many wonderful teachers who have guided me along the way and the will to keep trying. My hope is that by sharing what I am learning, this site can become a digital notebook that not only helps me continue learning but also makes the path a little easier for anyone else walking a similar journey.

May Allah accept this effort, allow it to be of benefit, and forgive me for any mistakes that I may make. Āmīn.

  • Making wudu is an essential part of worship, yet it is something I still struggle with. Living in the United States, most public bathrooms are not designed with wudu in mind, and taking off our shoes and socks in public is not always practical or comfortable.

Although several schools of thought permit wiping over socks (provided they meet certain conditions), I personally find that washing my feet gives me a greater sense of completion during wudu. At the same time, I recognize that this concession can be a tremendous ease for many Muslims, especially those navigating work, school, or travel.

On a different note, I also sometimes struggle to remember the correct order of the steps, so I enlisted the help of AI to create a simple, easy-to-follow guide. I made it primarily as a reminder for myself, but I hope it can be helpful to others as well.
